There is no one size fits all in estate planning!
Estate planning is so much more than just a set of documents, it is the culmination of our values. Through a careful planning process, I help my clients incorporate their values and beliefs into their estate plans. In the end, clients end up with a plan they fully understand and aligns with their unique situation.
COMPREHENSIVE ESTATE PLANNING
Estate planning is designed to protect ourselves during our lifetime as well as our loved ones after we are gone. A comprehensive plan consists of the transfer of our values, valuables, and plans for an efficient administration.
Prudent planning can help protect yourself, your business and your family in the event of divorce, bankruptcy, litigation, and other financial hardships.
The way you structure your charitable giving, not only during life, but also as a part of an estate plan, can really make a significant difference on you, your family, and the charities you are looking to support. Through careful planning, I can assist in the implementation of tax-advantaged strategies that can help maximize your charitable gift!
SPECIAL NEEDS PLANNING
It is often very scary to think about what will happen to a special-needs loved one after we are gone. However, with proper planning today, your loved one can be well taken care of!
INCOME TAX PLANNING
While many individuals do not have an estate tax issue, most do have some assets that carry with them an income tax issue. There are various strategies that can be implemented to ensure these assets are managed efficiently.
ESTATE & GIFT TAX PLANNING
Special care should be taken for those whose assets exceed the current estate and gift tax exemption limits. Careful planning can make a significant difference in the amount of estate, gift or generation skipping transfer taxes owed.
"We had the great opportunity to work with Paul to help us with our wills since we are now living in Tennessee. Paul walked us through the process, gave us options to consider and always gave us scenarios which we didn't think of as we were preparing our wills and Power of Attorney documents. I was very impressed with his thoroughness, follow-up and then the execution of our documents. I would go back to Paul for any additional work or consultation that I may need in the future. Pleasure to work with Paul Grassmann."
"Paul helped me create an estate plan that considered more than just the financial aspects. He helped me think about the emotional and administrative elements that those I leave behind will have to face. I really appreciated his complete, yet not overwhelming, approach to complicated subjects. Estate planning is one of those "shoulds" that is easy to put off. I'm glad I made the appointment and got it done with Paul."
"We hired Paul to handle the probate for the estate of my mother. He was very responsive to our questions and guided me through the process. He communicated with the legal team of the realtor for the sale of my mother's residence. Even though I live in another state, everything proceeded smoothly because he took care of preparing all the legal documents and court filings promptly. I highly recommend Paul because of his professionalism, competence and concern for us during this time."
"Mr. Grassmann handled our probate for a relative with ease as it moved through the court system. He then completed our family wills. I would highly endorse him for any legal work you would need. He is a friendly and respected lawyer."
